- Principle: A pharmaceutical powder is a mixture of finely divided drug and or chemicals in dry form. These are solia dosage form of medicament, which are meant for internal and external use. They are available in crystalline or amorphous form. The particle size of powder plays an important role in physical, chemical and biological properties of the dosage forms. There is a relationship between particle size of powder and dissolution, absorption and therapeutic efficacy of drugs.

- Procedure:
- 1. Weigh the required amount of sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, and dextrose.
- 2. Mix them in mortar and pestle and pass through the sieve
- 3. Dispense the powder and label it.
