DUSTING POWDER FORMULATION
- Principle: Dusting powder is powder in a fine state of therefore be sterilized by heat. Dusting powders are not are usually mixture of substance zinc oxide, starch and boric acid or natural mineral substance such as kaolin or talc the later may be contaminated with pathogenic organism and should through sieve number 80 (#80) before dusting to avoid partial subdivision of such subetance for external application. They intended for oral use. Dusting powder should be passed loss. It is better to weigh for some extra quantity, dusting powders are two types.

- Procedure:
- 1. Weigh the required quantity of starch, talc, zinc oxide and salicylic acid.
- 2. Mix them in ascending order of their weight.
- 3. Pass the mix powder through a sieve number 80.
- 4. After sieving, again mix the contents.
- 5. Dispense dusting powder in six sub-divided glass, label and dispense it.
